The deal
What's the catch?
There isn't one. I build the site first because it's the fastest way to show you what you'd be paying for. If you don't want it, I take it down and we're square. If you do, it's $59 a month from then on. No setup fee.
Why would you build it for free?
Because a finished site sells itself better than I can. Most people who see their own business on a proper site want to keep it. The ones who don't cost me a few hours. That's a trade I'm happy with.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. All three plans are month to month. Cancel any time and the site comes down at the end of the month you've paid for.
Who owns the domain name?
You do. It's registered in your name. If you ever leave, the domain goes with you and you can point it wherever you like. You keep your Google Business Profile too. I set it up, but it stays yours, as my way of saying thanks for the time you were with me.
Who owns the website?
The design and the hosting are mine while you're on the plan, which is what keeps the price at $59 a month instead of thousands upfront. Your domain, your photos, your business details and your reviews are yours. If you leave, you take all of that with you, and you keep the Google Business Profile I set up for you. That's my way of saying thanks.
The build
How long does it take?
Usually about 72 hours from when you send me the basics to the site being live on your own domain. Sometimes faster.
Do I need to write anything?
No. Tell me what you do and where you work. I write the pages. You read them and tell me what to change.
What if I don't have photos or a logo?
Phone photos of your work are fine, and usually better than stock photos. If you've got no photos at all, I'll work with what you have and you can send some later. If you don't have a logo, I'll sort something simple so the site doesn't look half-done.
I already have a website. Can you replace it?
Yes. Most of the sites I build replace an old one that's slow, hard to use on a phone, or nowhere on Google. I build the new one alongside your current site so nothing goes dark, then move your existing domain across when you're ready.
Will it work on a phone?
Yes. That's where most of your customers will see it, so it's built for the phone first. The Call Now button is always at the top.
Will I show up on Google?
The site is built the way Google likes: a page for each service, your towns and suburbs in the copy, fast loading, and linked to your Google Business Profile. That gets you in the running. How quickly you climb depends on your area, your competition and your reviews. If you want to be at the top this week, that's what the Growth plan's ads are for.
After it's live
How do I get something changed?
Email or text me. New prices, a new service, a seasonal deal, whatever it is. It's done within 48 hours and there's no charge.
Where do the enquiries go?
Straight to your email, and your phone number is on every page for people who'd rather ring. The contact form filters out the spam pitches so you only see real customers.
What's included in the $59 a month?
The multi-page website, hosting, your domain name, professional email, Google Business Profile setup, the lead capture chat, and every change you ask for.
What's in the Local plan at $99 a month?
Everything in the Website plan, plus a separate page for every service and every suburb or town you cover, a local post on your site every month and a full local SEO audit every month. The audit is a plain written check of where you show up on Google for your trade and town, what the businesses above you are doing, and what to fix next. I do the website fixes as part of the plan. It works the map pack and the organic results without paying for ads.
What's in the Growth plan at $299 a month?
The aim is to get you on the front page of Google up to three times: the paid ads at the top, the map pack and the organic results. It's everything in the Local plan, plus Google Ads that I set up and run with $100 of ad spend included each month, a local post on your site every week, Review Robot, which texts your customers from your own number asking for a Google review, and a 20-minute check-in call every couple of weeks. Growth is limited to one client per location, so I'm never running ads for your competitor. Full details on the pricing page.
What does Review Robot need?
An Android phone to run on. If you're an iPhone person, a cheap Android kept at home does the job.
Do you only do lawn mowing businesses?
No. That's where I started because it's my trade, but the same site works for builders, plumbers, electricians, painters, cleaners, physios and any other business whose customers search for them locally. See the examples.
Got a question that isn't here?
Call or text me. If I'm on the mower I'll ring you back.
